Your Key Responsibilities
The candidate will work closely with the Product Owner and the development team to translate complex functional and technical requirements to working software. The candidate will be an active member of the development team of 6 to 10 developers focusing on the design and implementation of new features and enhancements through the complete software development life-cycle from design, implementation, testing and product delivery.
Your Key Qaulifications
- Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience of software development
- Experience working with agile development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Experience with test driven development
- Ability to see how parts interact as a whole (big picture thinking)
- Comprehensive understanding of application and systems engineering
- Extensive experience in Java (Java EE) server-side technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies
- Strong knowledge of web related technologies
- Understanding of mobile platforms, in particular Windows Mobile
- Understanding of challenges when working with distributed systems
- Openness to explore and develop on multiple platforms including .NET, Android and others
- Openness to explore alternative languages like Scala, Clojure, Ruby or Groovy
- Solid problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Willingness to engage in team learning and process improvement
- Advanced oral and written communication skills in English
