Appear Networks receives Frost & Sullivan’s Excellence in Technology Award

New Wireless VoIP and Data Platform Based on the Appear Context Engine is Adopted in Large Scale Mobile Solution Deployments

Stockholm, 21 September, 2005 – Frost & Sullivan, a leading growth consulting company, announced today that the 2005 Excellence in Technology of the Year Award in Mobile Software Solutions for Intelligent Real-Time Voice and Data Communications goes to Sweden-based Appear Networks in recognition of the company’s development of an Intelligent Wireless Communication platform, the Appear IQ.

The Appear IQ is a breakthrough open design wireless communication platform designed to meet the needs of mobile frontline workers and facilitate their successful use of technology. This highly scalable platform adds a layer of computing intelligence to standard wireless data networks, transforming them into channels for delivering relevant data, mission critical video and facilitating communication via Voice over IP (VoIP).
