
Appear Supports Ryerson Web 2.0 Developer Competition
The Ryerson Web 2.0 Competition is an initiative at Ryerson University to allow computer science students to work with industry partners and showcase their projects during a competition.
The competition is part of the CPS630 course which is created at the department of computer science with the aim of teaching students about the evolution of the computing and the Internet. Students projects are categorized in one of the following categories:
- Pervasive Internet
- Ubiquitous Computing
- User Driven Computing
- Social Computing
- Open APIs
- Self-Adaptive Computing
- Context-Aware Computing
- Multimedia
The Ryerson Web 2.0 Competition is sponsored by IBM and supported by Appear, Apple, RIM, The Mark and Ontario Centres of Excellence.
